I was having a very strange problem and take me almost a complete day to solve it.
Sharing the experience because is kind of funny.
The problem:
I wasTtying 15 or more time to print two tiny hands of this guy: [www.thingiverse.com]
but every-time it was failing because the extruder stop to work on the 4 layer and them start again at layer 10 or more.
I used lots of different configurations on the slider, used several sliders and all both the same problem, so it was not a bug of the slider.
After this checked if there was a know bug in repetier that could cause this, found nothing..
Atfer many hours i remember to checked the gcode i was trying to printing, At layer 4 i say this line:
M106 S255 -> start fan at full speed...
I fill so stupid when a see this line... :)
I upgraded a new repetier version last week and the Minimum extruder temperature is by default 190ºC
i was printing at 195ºC, any 5ºC temperature drop stop the extruder.
